UKFG Update
TLC has close ties with the UKFG (United Kingdom Friends of Galle) which is a locally based charity supporting the victims of the 2005 Tsunami from the city of Galle. We are committed to the uplifting of those less fortunate than us, and continue to support the UKFG each year by donating computers, buildings and sponsoring scholarships for the local schoolchildren.
Our Christmas message to our clients for 2010 was a wonderfully uplifting letter from one of our sponsored children. It showed the true spirit of Christmas.
UKFG is continually striving to do whatever it can to ensure that the plight of the residents of the city of Galle is lessened where possible.

View our TA workshops for O2
TLC are running a series of development workshops for managers across Telefonica O2 in the UK and in Ireland. The golden thread running through these workshops is transactional analysis (TA). We were asked by our client to devise 2-3 minute video trailers to give more insight into the workshops and what participants could expect to get from them. Could we help your organisation in similar ways?
TLC Wins E-ON Coaching Contract
Along with many large organisations, E-ON is changing its L&D investment focus from 70% classroom (taught) days to 70% coaching as a key learning and development offering to the business. TLC are working in partnership with E.ON by providing our Coaching Caps model to their line managers, Talent Pools and Graduate population. Coaching Caps are a mixture of telephone and face to face coaching with a Learning Guide around key subject areas such as Strategic Awareness, Driving Change, Fostering Diversity for example. Coaching Caps are offered via an online booking system jointly developed with The Working Manager where coachees get a choice of coach, venue, date, Learning Guide, telephone coaching or coaching surgery. The cost of less than 500 for five telephone coaching sessions is charged directly to each coachees part of the business via the automated online booking system. Each Learning Guide is packed with theory, information and on-the-job exercises and is bespoke to E-ONs competencies vital for future growth. Both coaching methods have a robust measurement process and rich anonymous organisational feedback is collated and fed back to E.ON. All our coaches have a coaching accreditation – many are also psychology qualified, have an OD background and are operationally experienced. To find out more about bringing Coaching Caps into your organisation at a fraction of the cost of conventional classroom training, please email colin.newbold@tlcglobal.co
